This one could be unique to me. If someone makes non-consequential error in speech or with a minor one with a fact that might not be important to the story they're telling, it takes everything in my power not to correct them. It's in our nature to look at details and find exceptions or logic problems, and sometimes our brains are operating in that mode when really what we should be doing is shutting up and listening to our partner.
My wife has (wisely) gotten to the point where she doesn't really talk to me about stuff in the morning because she knows that's when I'm at my "sharpest" and most likely to not be the best listener because the caffeine is flowing and (I'd like to think) my mind is razor sharp.
