That's a lot of stress to be going through at a time when you've got lots of other stuff on your mind. I'd stay away from her until she's not so toxic. But also keep in mind that making a person choose between their parent and you won't turn out well for anyone (not that you're doing that, but that's probably not far from how he feels).
