In its original form, Turbo Pascal was very much plain-old-Pascal with the twist of having an IDE (it may have been the first IDE ever, in fact). In other words, none of the object-oriented stuff that would come later was present.
I know this because in my Pascal class in college, we were supposed to use UCSD Pascal on the Apple, but I stumbled across Turbo Pascal on the IBM PC and it was so much faster to develop and iterate on that I wrote everything in Turbo Pascal and turned in my assignments in UCSD.
