I recently took advantage of Amazon Prime's month of free James Bond movies, and came to a similar conclusion about many of the early films. Some of the things I noticed with a more seasoned eye were:

- Every beautiful woman was a sexual conquest. I realize late teens or early 20s me might have thought that (even if it was never true outside my imagination)

- How almost every movie has Bond's character in a hotel room of some sort.

- How so many movies have Bond in a high-stakes card game (winning always of course- which I get is the essence of Bond; he's the quintessential unrealistic male personae)

- How much is borrowed from other movies of the era (or vice-versa, perhaps). I got very distinct "Enter the Dragon" vibes off of one (and don't ask me which- honestly I watched them in succession and I can't really recall which was which unless I read the plot summary and think, "Oh right-that one"
