Glad you made it out safely, and no preaching here.. But "lovin'" (in unmixed company I might use another word here, one that I will probably use when my son comes of age and it's time to talk to him about such things) always has a price. Always, always, always. It could be money, status, committment, skin-in-the-game as someone leverages you to make their partner jealous (as in this case), or someone just trying to get leverage in their marriage because they've been feeling neglected.
Every time in my life something was "available" and I acted there was some kind of reckoning later that I would have been wise to have understand sooner. In the love game, before taking the leap, know the price ahead of time.
